Thon Hotel Vasa opened its doors on Vasagatan in April 2026. The hotel has 144 rooms in different categories, a brasserie restaurant, cocktail bar and modern fitness facilities.

At Vasagatan 20, one of Stockholm’s most central addresses, the doors to Thon Hotel Vasa have now opened. This is Thon’s first privately owned hotel in the city, with a clear focus on quality, ambiance and a cohesive design throughout.

Newly renovated with historical details
The hotel is located in an elegant building from the late 1800s that stretches over seven floors, with hotel operations in the building since 1907. The building has undergone extensive renovations to ensure state-of-the-art quality and comfort. Some classic details have been preserved to ensure a real historic buzz throughout. These include a number of large, beautiful windows and renovated stucco on walls and ceilings.

The hotel is very centrally located in the Stockholm city centre. From the hotel, you can walk directly to the central public transport hub, with train, metro and bus connections. It’s also close to the city’s best shopping district, Vasa Museum, Gamla Stan and Djurgården
